Heat 3C - Joe McCord

Jean Theoret in Billy Schumacher’s U37 Beacon Plumbing, J Michael Kelly in Dave Bartush’s  U13 Spirit of Detroit and Mike Allen in the U1 formulaboats.com all needed points. Anxiety was in the air as all three boats hit the water. Each one of these teams needed a win. In the scoring up period, or the race before the race, each driver gave each other plenty of space to mill. Kelly, taking the long way around looked to have the timing down great as he charged up the backstretch at almost full power. With all boats hanging it on the hook and charging up the back stretch deck to deck.  Leading by less than a rooster tail, Theoret was being forced to push his equipment hard as Kelly and Allen both held tremendous pressure on him. All the hydros drivers held their lanes as Theoret came in first, J Mike Kelly second and Mike Allen third
